Genosha

Genosha is a small island located south east of Madagascar on the eastern coast of Africa. This island nation, once ruled by humans who used mutants as slaves, was liberated by the combined efforts of Magneto and his Brotherhood along with the X-Men. Eventually the island was seceded to Magneto, who ruled it as a free nation for Mutants where they could live in peace and safety. Most recently the island was devastated by a nuclear attack by the mutant Apocalypse, killing nearly all 16 million mutant citizens.
