Doom stared mutely at the wreckage of the limo which till now had acted as his conveyance in the United States. Rage burned inside him, a hatred for all those inferior peons who thought themselves bold enough and worthy enough to ever try and end his life.
"Who would dare such an imbecilic move!" He roared and looked to Tony Stark who hovered only meters away. "You..." Why else would Stark have moved so quickly. Of coarse he would fain innocence and ignorance to this attack. He would play the hero card, wishing to help Doom if needed. As if Doom would ever need help from one such as Stark. A pathetic, useless man who thought himself equal or even superior to Doom. That was a mistak... a deadly mistake. "Tony Stark, Avenger, You and your people will pay for this outrage. Who is behind this you pathetic excuse for a man of science."
Doom took this chance to quickly look behind him. He could see Reed Richards stretching from the doorway to spy upon the commotion. Insufferable pest, no better then a gnat. His eyes turned then to the federal agents moving about the growing crowed and further inside the building, by way of his masks enhanced optic functions, to The Director of SHIELD Sage who obviously directed them. All of them were no doubt in league concerning this feeble attempt on his life.
His stare was one of piercing cold as they moved back to Iron Man. "Answer me Avenger, do you call this the protection of your country?! You refuse me my own protection. You disable all but the most basic defensive functions on my Doom-Bots. You do not allow me the full functionality of my armor or my mystical arts. This in efficient and laughable excuse for protection leads me to wonder if the United States has become pathetically weak since repelling the alien menace or perhaps if this may be some plot by your government to finally eliminate Doom.
Doom grew silent as his anger shifted from a raging inferno to that of cold unforgiving steel. An anger full of malice and disdain for those whom he deemed lesser then he.
