“I agree boss; we may need all of SHIELD on the scene but use us as a front line defense. We are currently the only super powered members of SHIELD has bar yourself and the Nightstalkers and yourself. The Fantastic Four has a better shot of holding Galactus off with our help.” Spider –Girl stepped forward in agreement with Damien’s assessment then looked to Zephyr and Dryad in the hopes that they too would speak up. This team needed to start unifying or they would never truly hold together under the direst situations. “We are inexperienced but we can take orders…” She paused and looked to Damien with a small sigh. “..well for the most part. “Why not put us under the direct command of Dr. Richards and his team, they have the experience and we have the drive. I mean it just clicks no?” She shrugged again looking to her team or back up.
Her eyes then turned to Osborn who seemed to sit in mute amusement of the situation since he put Sage in her place. If it were up to her she would have flayed the man alive by now. Unfortunately it was not her choice nor was it the hero way. She would not stoop to his level but this Spider-Girl was sure beyond a shadow of a doubt that he was up to something… something big.

Wow. Demon was just FULL of crap, wasn't he? Adam was almost impressed, honestly... going for the regs at a time like this. Adam might have thought about doing that, but as he watched Sage's continual nonexpression... well, it wasn't the sort of thing he expected to pull any weight with her at all. Zephyr wasn't the sort to just give up on something, but when it came to things like this - there was no way to soften what had happened. They hadn't done the one thing Sage thought they should have done - putting the girl down hard, and down fast. Anything else was really just handing her and Osborn more ammo.
Still...
He stepped up with the others to watch the transmission - but only because Sage allowed it... not at all because Osborn said it. Far as he was concerned, Osborn was outside of his chain of command, and especially as Sage was right here... well listening to the shithead was not his job.
And Dameon and Spider Girl were volunteering... dammit. His ability to fight outside of atmosphere was, well, potentially severely impaired. Still, if he had to... Adele stepped up next to him and nodded slightly, so he nodded too. "If you're willing to give us another shot, Director, I think we're all up for it. I'm with Spider Girl and Demon on this one."
Adele nodded. "Same..."

Sage as silent for a long moment as she confirmed all the information he had received concerning Galactus’ imminent arrival through the use of her cyberpathic gift and the multitude of data banks open to her. Abigail Brand had been completely correct in fact the Devourer of Worlds as already making his touch down. All across the United Kingdom energy of all kinds, from electrical to nuclear were being snuffed out, a Newtonian impossibility in itself as the First Law of Thermodynamics clearly states that energy can be transformed, changed from one form to another, but cannot be truly be created or destroyed. This was bad to put it in its simplest terms.
Ignoring Osborn completely as the ever present annoyance he was in her life thus far the Director of SHIELD turned to the team of rookie super-humans and mutants she had been chewing out only moments ago. What they said made perfectly logical sense and yet she still felt apprehensive in giving them another chance so soon and under such dire circumstances.
Then again…
“SHEILD needs a presence on this. Mr. Osborn, you are going to exit the Hellicarrier immediately, I will see that an escort takes you to a helicopter which will take you back to your offices, and this is non-negotiable.” She glared at the man who for all intensive purposes was her boss; a fact of life she hoped would change as soon as possible with Iron Man’s aid. “Black Widow, you are going to take command of the Hellicarrier as it makes its way to Muir Island. You have experience at this, use it. Make sure the second you leave US air space you are at complete battle readiness. If the UK military queries as to your purpose in their air space, which I doubt they will as they seem to be experiencing a communications black out, relay that we are in coming to lend aid in this crisis. Only give them as much detail as they need and no more.” She looked to Natalia with a stern look through her special advanced shades. Sage knew well how the woman did not trust her, especially as she was still loyal to Nick Fury’s memory and she, or more precisely her alter ego Britannia, had been the one to kill him. None the less she would follow her orders or she would suffer the consequences. “I and your team are going ahead. This operation cannot afford mistakes and my presence will ensure that.” Her last look came to the team, a small glare pouring to each one of them one by one. “You have ten minutes and ONLY ten minutes to prepare yourselves. Get what you need, Travel light, and be on the flight deck on time. If you are not there on time you will be left behind and you can kiss your careers goodbye.”
