Post by Magneto- Erik Magnus Lehnsherr on Jul 6, 2010 2:36:06 GMT -5
“Heir Magneto, we are approaching the engagement zone.” Were the whispered, fearful words of Nightcrawler as the main view port and all smaller passenger port windows darkened to accommodate the blinding light of the energy dome. “The construct grows rapidly… I am not versed in all these technical readings but its energy seems to double and redouble upon itself every 30.76 minutes. If that had any significance I know not.”
To this magneto nodded. The man best to answer that question had already vacated the air craft but he had already ordered open comm.’s there for… “I am sure you heard all of that. What are your powers showing you Aidan?” he knew that the man’s powers as a mutant were not yet fully developed or mastered yet but any insight to coin the phrase was better than none. However without waiting for an answer the leader of the X-Men turned to Emma Frost questioningly and though his helmet prevented psy-probes he was sure she knew what he was thinking.
As if on que Emma stood and moved to Erik’s side to view the glowing construct then closed her eyes to concentrate. With her psychic powers the former White Queen of the Hellfire Club could reach out to all available, unshielded minds and though not powerful enough to control or effect them all on a significant level as Xavier was in his day able to do she could still sense their locations, read their thoughts and to some extent predict their actions before they happened. “The bulk of the main force has been either eliminated or scattered. Most of these barbarians are on the retreat. The original Mutates are marshaling together around the energy construct, the Brotherhood is nearing to join them led by Mystique and Sauron. That is all I can sense from them. There is psychic interference blocking their thoughts, even the weakest mind among them is blocked from me.” She slowly opened her eyes and looked forebodingly out the shadowed window. She knew this interference; she could tell its source yet that in itself confused Emma. Her sister Cordelia was with the Brotherhood bit the young woman’s powers had always been merely empathic, she could read and manipulate emotions on a fantastically powerful level. However never did her powers so directly affect thoughts on suck a psychic level nor could her powers ever affect Emma and vice versa, like Scott and Alex Summers, she and her sister were immune to one another’s mutant abilities. Something or someone was defiantly augmenting Cordelia’s powers… this was troubling.
“Very well, there is no more we can do to slow them down. We have clearly decimated Brian Child’s little army and that puts them on the defensive.” Magneto scowled under his helmet as he knew the high cost for a mistake at this juncture, he saw no alternative. “If there are no objections I think it is time for the big push. Everyone when you are free to do so converge on the energy dome. The Silver Hawk is going in now, this ends here!”
With the command given and the skies cleared with Ms.Marvel’s aid Kurt engaged the jets Laser Stream Detonation Rocket System. Within seconds they had cleared the distance and began to circle the energy construct. “No sign of the Mutates or the Brotherhood and if Emma cannot pinpoint them precisely we will have to go in blind.” Relayed Nightcrawler as he made a second pass around the dome which seemed to protect the most powerful weapon in existence. “Our cloak is also malfunctioning. Its energy is draining at an exceeding rate. It may be the energy construct but I cannot tell. Either way we will soon be fully visible.”
“Very well… we cannot afford to lose the Silver Hawk. We four will depart now; I will use my power to take us down. Kurt, take the Hawk far from here and return when we contact you.” Magneto commanded in a no nonsense tone as he moved to the rear of the jet followed by Emma, Mimic and Thena. He knew very well that the Silver Hawk was a sophisticated piece of machinery made by a scientist with, as far as he was concerned, very few peers but it was still vulnerable and they needed it to leave the Savage Land when all this was done. That was something he could not risk, the survivors did not deserve to be stranded in this place… if there were any. The exit doors for flyers opened and the near blinding light of the dome flooded the room causing even the Master of Magnetism to wince some. “Let’s go…” Were his final words as he surrounded them all in a near invisible orb of energy which would protect as well as carry them to the ground.

Post by Aidan Veridan - Insight on Jul 6, 2010 17:30:33 GMT -5
((Reposted from: the previous thread)) "Yeah, this is just going GREAT" Aidan muttered, ducking as a swing came from behind, then nailing his assailant hard in the gut with a back-kick before he spun around, propping himself up on one hand as he did, slamming another boot into the side of the Mutate's head and coming up on his feet again - an almost impossible looking move, but Aidan always knew exactly how to pull something off... another advantage of the way his power worked. Even so, however, he wasn't supposed to be superhuman - or even peak human. Yet, every now and then... Another Mutate jumped out, reading an energy blast, but Insight fired with one pistol over his shoulder, without even looking, and blew it away from the tree, the force bolt taking it clean off its feet and probably cracking several ribs. He broke into a run, trying to keep up with the fliers and the rest as they moved closer to the dome of energy, which was about the time Magneto's voice came over his comm. He looked down at the device on his arm, checking a few readouts, gathering more information... his eyes flashed brighter, and he winced, slowing, actually leaning on a tree for a few seconds before he kept running. "It's growth is accelerating... it's a sort of event horizon, the beta particle reactions are going to start creating particles of antilithium once it reaches a great enough mass - I don't know if the damn thing will beat Galactus to destroying the earth but I have a distinct feeling it's going to be close! We have to find some way to cut off the energy source supplying it!" In the meantime, he had hijacked another raptor and was urging it faster towards what was to be the main battle-zone. X-23 landed on it behind him without warning, and he started for a moment, but she grabbed his head and turned it back to the front with an admonishment to watch where he was going, which he did, laughing a little... that was Laura alright. And as for the Silverhawk... "Kurt, put a bit more power into the EM fields if you would please - and yeah, please don't let my baby break on her first mission! The beta-particle interference is making the Savage Land's interference even worse, I was worried it wouldn't last long under cloak here." He clicked off the radio channel, and glanced back to X a moment. "I think this is where we get off!" he called, and got to his feet, then launched off the creature into the fray, with several of the other X-Men around him. His eyes glowed brightly behind his glasses as he drove an armored fist into one creature, then kept moving on to another, using the electrical arc unit to paralyze some here and there... and trying to ignore all the blood flying when X-23 and Wolverine started fighting, too. And that was when he caught sight of part of the Brotherhood... there was a man with pallid, white skin who looked, for lack of a better word, important... if he went down... "DUCK!" he snapped to one of the other heroes who was in the line of fire, and he held his right hand out. Two barrels snapped out from his sleeve, glowed brightly for a moment, and twin beams of brilliant green energy lanced out for Anarchy. Insight didn't know this one, though, or how much punch he could take - so he'd limited the power to what wouldn't be lethal to most humans... he'd have to dial it up if that didn't do him any good. But he had plenty of power left to dial it up still, that much was for damn sure.

Post by Iron Man - Tony Stark on Jul 6, 2010 18:30:31 GMT -5
Iron Man stood his ground, looking up for a moment as a tyrannosaurus bore down on him, looking up at it, seeming unconcerned. It lunged at him, massive, man-eating jaws open, and he brought his hands up, locking them around a few of the massive fangs, then he lit off his bootjets and pulled, shooting up into the sky - and pulling the creature with him literally by the teeth. He threw it towards a nearby lake, letting go and shaking his head a little, then brought up his map display, checking the progress of the teams. They were steadily making their way toward the dome, and most of the enemy forces did appear to be eliminated... good.
So when Magneto called for his team to make a push, Tony felt ready enough. "AVENGERS, ASSEMBLE!" he called, holding in the air above the fight, opening the general frequency channel. "If Insight's correct, then we need to end this fast - Songbird, transport! Everyone else, with me!"
The former criminal replied in the affirmative, using her power to create levitating platforms for those who couldn't fly, and the rest shot towards the final battle, coming in as the X-Men hit as well. Iron Man broke the sound barrier as he swept in over the rest, and hit like a mortar shell, the explosion of repulsor energy sending Mutates scattering like bowling pins.
"I'd tell you all you're under arrest, but somehow I don't think you'd give a damn." He knocked an axe away, shattering the blade against his forearm plating, and sent the creature flying with a punch, then looked up just in time to see Sauron coming after him.
"Ssssssstaarrk!" the hybrid human screeched as it hit him, driving him to the ground.
Tony almost triggered his repulsor by reflex to knock the creature off him, but he held off, remembering Sauron's particular ability to absorb energy. So, instead, he let himself be pinned, then drove his helmeted head forward, hard, straight into Sauron's beak. "Get off me, lowlife." he snapped as the 'man' fell back, and Stark got to his feet. "If it weren't for you calling the Brotherhood, none of this would be happening, and Galactus wouldn't be coming to wipe our world out." He drove an armored boot into the creature, knocking him further away and probably breaking a bone or two, but these people were the reason their world was on the brink, yet again... and he wasn't in a forgiving mood just now.
"Secure the area!" he called, blasting one of Sauron's followers away contemptuously, and he looked up at the energy dome, focusing his armor's considerable sensor arrays on it. What the X-Men's scientist had said made sense, and if it was a beta particle reaction...
"Magneto, do you think you can influence this field at all? Suppress it, or at least direct the bleeding radiation in a specific direction maybe? Ms Marvel, I'm going to need you for this one, too..." If they could drain the runaway energy, they could collapse the field... his suit could absorb a lot of power, but Carol did those things naturally. Alone, perhaps neither of them could handle it, but both? Maybe... if nothing else, it was a plan, and they very much needed a plan.

"Get off me, lowlife." he snapped as the 'man' fell back, and Stark got to his feet.
"You heard the man, Mister Green Genes." Peter quipped as he arrived to offer whatever assistance he could to his mentor. He perched there, on the tree trunk as he waited to see what the flying lizard would do next. He fully expected him to do something, that was what bad guys did...something. Usually something bad. It wasn't like there was ever this 'we are bad guys and we want to raise money for charity' event, no usually their events involved mass amounts of destruction and if they served dessert it was often chaos on a silver plate. He wasn't in the mood for chaos and destruction today, silver platter or not. He wasn't that hungry.
"If it weren't for you calling the Brotherhood, none of this would be happening, and Galactus wouldn't be coming to wipe our world out."
He smirked, invisible behind the guise of the Iron Spider armor. Sometimes heroes could do stuff too, more often than not there was nothing as effective as a solid head butt and a well placed kick. When Iron Man asked him to clear the area, Peter nodded affirmatively and answered with a salute, "Aye, Aye, Captain." Swinging down to stand over Sauron, "You heard the man." Using his reflexes and the boost the suit gave him to full effect, the Iron Spider fired off a massive amount of webbing, effectively locking Sauron down in place and in turn each of the still charging mutates and their rides as well. Taking a moment to check out his handy work, Peter said, "Some might say overkill. I say...job well done."
Moving in to stand beside Tony, Peter listened to what was being conveyed, "Too bad we don't have any way to alter the amount of hydrogen in the air around the dome. With an inadequate supply the dome will collapse in upon itself, effectively ending the Brotherhood thread as well. All we'd have to do is clean up the mess." Peter looked over at Tony, knowing he would know this too, but he was feeling science geek right about now, "I'm sighting the now famous Minkowsky-Levin method of generating anti-lithium atoms. Basic Anti-Matter Chemistry. Anti-lithium is easy to produce, safe to transport, and provides enormous thrust when introduced into an environment of regular hydrogen atoms. However, alter the hydrogen and the system becomes unstable. We need to positively charge the protons in the hydrogen cells."

Post by Valkyrie - Hjordis on Jul 8, 2010 21:55:38 GMT -5
Alone she may be, but Easy Pickings was far from an accurate description. She blocked a club swing with her sword, but used the opponent’s momentum to slam a fist into its face. In nearly the same motion, she twisted and lashed out with her foot, catching a second lizard thing square in the chest. He flew backward, air hissing out of him like a deflating balloon before slamming into a tree trunk and knocking a pair of his compatriots out of the lower branches.
It was rather comical really, but Valkyrie didn’t take the time to laugh. Or smile. Or even seem to notice beyond a microsecond of pause where those icy blue eyes glanced in that direction. This was serious business.
Turning, she caught the movement of the pack leader lunging at her just before he stopped abruptly and she paused for the first time since hitting the ground, one blonde eyebrow arching upward wryly as Wolverine at last made himself known.
“Watch yourself Blondie, you Asgardians are tough but I still don’t believe you’re as high fluting immortal as you would like us all to believe.”
She gave an unladylike snort before her sword flashed upward, the flat of the blade slamming hard into the face of a barbarian leaping for Wolverine’s back. She really was taking the ‘we don’t kill anyone’ motto of the Avengers to heart. Of course, crushed noses, broken ribs, and dislocated limbs were sometimes just as bad, though at least she left all her adversaries breathing, if unconscious.
“Thou should take thine own advice, little man.” Wolverine only came to her shoulders, at best. They ended up back to back for a moment, Hjordis throwing punches in rapid succession with bodies flying up in the air like hacky sacks before she kicked them out of the fight. Literally.
“I need not be as tough as Odin, only tougher than mine enemies.” As if to demonstrate, a spiked club came flying through the air and slammed into the side of her head…where it then plunked to the ground. Valkyrie narrowed her eyes, her only reaction to it despite that it had hurt a bit, before picking up said club and sending it singing through the air. Somewhere beyond the wall of green that marked the jungle, something screamed shortly before hitting the ground with a heavy thud.
Her earbud squawked, Tony’s voice coming through loud and clear and she looked up as Iron Man landed, tossing a dinosaur like so much garbage. It made the corner of her mouth quirk upward a bit. It was gone almost as soon as it was there of course.
At the command to assemble, she gave the area one last quick visual sweep just to make sure she wasn’t leaving Wolverine with too many opponents, gave the bestial man one last nod, and ran toward one of Songbird’s flying discs.
She had yet to unleash Dragonfang and it would continue to remain dormant. For now. The growing dome of energy was a concern, but one she did not think too long on. That was for others to deal with. Her task was to pave the way.
Well, that was until Sauron met them head on and slammed Tony into the ground. Her hand curled tighter over the hilt of her sword and the fury of the Dragon rose sharp and fast through her, blazing a searing trail through her veins. Blue eyes flashed hard and dangerous before she gained control over it and, very carefully, finger by finger, released the weapon; because only a moment later Stark had it taken care of and Spiderman was finishing it.
The science talk that chattered through the radio waves went so far over her head she didn’t even attempt to understand it so she simply continued doing what she did best. What she was there for. Beat heads and clear a path. And not think too deeply on anything beyond combat strategy.
Using the sword more like a bat than a sword, she turned it so the flat of the blade smashed into the side of a mutate’s lizard mount, knocking the thing over. Instantly she was leaping forward, her fist meeting the mutate’s face in a crunch of broken bone. It was only its nose, but its eyes rolled back and she left them, scrambling mount and unconscious mutate, behind her as she ran forward for the next opponent.

Post by Anarchy - Adrian Macbeth on Jul 16, 2010 22:25:41 GMT -5
So much for the element of surprise were Anarchy’s thoughts as he watched Sauron attack and fall at Iron Man’s hands. “Pathetic…” He snarled, spun on spot and back flipped just as the energy blast meant for him neared him by centimeters. His eyes did not turn to the hero who had fired on him right away, his glare stayed on Sauron for a few moments then turned to look at Mystique a meter or so away. “Truly pathetic… this is what you wished us to ally ourselves with. These mutates cannot even pull of a simple surprise attack!” He snarled before his eyes finally turned to Insights direction. “As for you… if you are out to kill someone you must try harder than that. I sensed that attack and your intent long before it came close to striking me…” He looked the young man in the distance over coldly. The sensing of the attack had nothing to do with his mutant power, centuries of battle training in all forms had honed his skills to near diamond perfection, that was something this X-Man did not know though, to these pathetic heroes he was still a mystery and that in itself was an edge.
“Here… let me demonstrate!” Anarchy snarled and charged at Insight then within a meter of the man gripped his pole spear handle tied to his side, extended it to full length with a flick of his wrist and buried the spear deep into the ground to vault over Aidan and land behind him. All this was done with ninja like speed, grace and accuracy. He snarled animal like as he then morphed one of his hands into a metal like shield and used the other to wield his spear first bringing the blunt end down across his opponents back with a thunderous crack then thrusting the adimantium spear blade towards his midsection, aiming for several major arteries in the process.
(I took the liberty of having the non-lethal blow connect but the lethal strike, however you wish, can be dodged or parried or whatever.)

Post by Calvin Rankin - Mimic on Jul 25, 2010 0:04:39 GMT -5
As soon as they were on the ground and free from Magneto’s protective energy field Mimic sprung into action. Optic blasts fired from his eyes strafing the edge of the jungle where Anarchy had emerged only to have a high frequency blast of psionic energy waves returned.
“You are no match for Vertigo, submit and be spared a painful lingering demise.” A husky female voice rang in Calvin’s head as the world before his eyes seemed to turn upside down and inside out all at once.
True to her name Vertigo’s power, the ability to project waves of psionic energy into her environment which affect the nervous systems of other living beings, distorting their physical perceptions and sense of balance was debilitating to say the least. He could feel himself fall to his knees and yet at the same time he felt as if the earth were above him and the air was thick and closing in around him. Everything solid was liquid. Everything liquid was air and air itself was drowning him.
In his own world as leader of the X-Men, before he had been spirited away to fight alongside the Exiles he had encountered the Savage Land Mutates. Compared to this world his worlds versions seemed tame, or was it the fact his world seemed like a distant fuzzy memory. He had not returned there as he had hoped, not while he was alive, and it had been so long since he had seen his friends, well at least his worlds versions. Sometimes this multi-verse stuff could be a real headache but not nearly as bad as the assault he now found himself under as Vertigo slowly approached him with what appeared to be 3 or 6 Amphibius’ or were those just products of his distorted vision? He could not tell.
If Calvin moved he was going to puke and if he started then he was defiantly not going to stop. Nevertheless the world needed them, he was part of this and he could not fail at the beginning. He lunged forward, his bone claws extending from his hands, striking for one of his opponents only to again find himself brought down by Vertigos power as well as a vicious attack by the short but powerful reptilian mutate Amphibius.
(ooc: this post is left open for Thena to take some action and help her friend Mimic)

Magneto watched as Mimic jumped into action and was beset upon by Vertigo and Amphibius, two of his own creations. Against the platinum blond mutates power few had a defense. This was evident as the young, inter-dimensional hero fell to his knees under her powerful assault and a startlingly violent beat down by the reptilian Amphibius. He wanted to help the young man just as he wanted to help Aidan with his mysterious and obviously powerful opponent but he could not for the time being, his power was currently needed concerning the energy construct which contained the Ultimate Nullifier.
He listened to the open comm. link to what Iron Man and Spider-Man had to say and found he was more inclined to take Stark more seriously over the wall crawler who seemed to be little more than a wise cracking boy playing at hero. Then again Spider-Man had aided in his own defeats on a few occasion therefore there was something to say for the young man. Nevertheless his own extensive scientific background told him that Iron Man was more on the money in this case. “If I understand correctly you wish me to channel my power into you…”
It was an ostentatious plan if not a dangerous one, especially with their numbers spread so thinly in the surrounding jungle. Yet if it worked they would in theory weaken the protective shield so that A) It would not detonate and take a sizable chunk of the planet with it and B) possibly reduce and weaken it enough for one or more people to get through and obtain the weapon they had sought out for so long.”My powers may be adequate if I channel all my concentration into this one task but in such a state I will be vulnerable, unable to defend myself in the least. It may also leave me utterly drained or worse.” He responded and watched as Ms. Marvel moved to Iron Man’s side in preparation for what Stark had planned. Magneto closed his eyes; he reached out with his power, only on a small level at first to test the waters, and watched as the sun bright energy before him seemed to ripple like water of a fraction of a second. He could with some difficulty manipulate this power as he did magnetic forces, it was in the nature of his mutant ability to manipulate any form of energy that is part of the electromagnetic spectrum, he could do it… he could manipulate this field… but it may cost him in the end. “If you have a plan Stark I suggest you enact it immediately… before it is far too late to work.”

“Outlander Female, Put down that warriors weapon and submit!” A deep, growling masculine voice called out from within the trees as Hjordis made her way to the tree line after leaving Wolverine to clear out the other trash in the jungle. “Roaaaah! Submit! Barbarus demands it!!” he roar was bestial and barbaric as from above a hulking man with four massively muscled arms dropped down from the branches above. With a massive right hook to the Valkyrie’s face and a left to her abdomen he grinned in a proud way. “Kneel woman…” He laughed a boisterous laugh while raising a spiked club in his other right arm ready to crush her skull. “…prepare to die!!!" At said same time a force of another kind soon targeted the one known as the Amazing Spider-Man. “Hello outlander.” A beautiful, feminine voice greeted Spider-Man where he perched as an extremely beautiful woman, with a body which would put the goddess Aphrodite to shame, moved around a large tree and smiled at the young man in shining armor. “Aren’t you the impressive one, so powerful… so sexy…” She cooed as she ran her hands along the tree she now leaned against as if it were a lover’s body. “I am Lorelei, will you be my friend?” She smiled as her jade green eyes stared into the golden eye plates of Spider-Mans mask. Unknown to the young hero her powers were already at work, her mutate ability was that her luscious voice emits hypersonic pitches that affect the sexual drives of males and mesmerize them, making them her slaves completely. She could tell just from his form that Spider-Man was a young male and no doubt ruled as much by his sexual drives as any. She softly reached out for him, beckoning him to her. “Come to me my champion, please let me kiss you, let me be your friend.” (Sorry so short but without much to play off of or goddmodding this is it till we have more to work with)

Post by Aidan Veridan - Insight on Aug 6, 2010 17:39:36 GMT -5
"It's a field-effect, Spider-Man, not a drive system! Do you actually WANT it to explode!?" he called, glancing towards the web-crawler for a moment, trying to evaluate Stark's plan... seemed potentially useful, but could that armor really handle the levels of power he was talking about? It would all hang on the ability to safely dispose of the beta-particle radiation, or else it would do nearly enough damage on its own. He knew Iron Man got his power by a similar method, but... Insight couldn't think of a man-made unit that could handle that sort of power... he hoped like hell the so-called Golden Avenger knew what he was talking about.
Which brought his attention back to Anarchy... Shit... Well, you couldn't hit every one. But thankfully... he knew he wasn't going to hit the man before it missed, thanks to his own power, and so he was able to begin changing tactics even as the man rushed at him, chastising him for his lack of killing intent. He was an X-Man for crying out loud, killing was something they were completely against! Hadn't he been paying attention at all? He saw the man coming, watching the echoes... there was a disadvantage to his ability - sometimes, there was no good way to avoid one attack without taking another. Which left Insight no choice but to take the lesser of two evils...
His coat hardened instantly as the blow from the staff connected, going from pliable fabric to a material harder than titanium in an instant, but it couldn't absorb all the shock and momentum, and he winced, but he wasn't stunned... and that left him able to throw himself into a spin, dodging the tip of the spear by millimeters, and land a hard spinning snap kick to the side of Anarchy's head. He absorbed some of that momentum as well, bringing his other boot up and kicking off the man's chest, doing a quick flip before he landed, already in a ready stance, one arm out slightly as the VWS reconfigured and formed a three-foot energy blade off his forearm.
"I sensed that attack and your intent long before it came close to striking me…" he parroted, grinning faintly. "Looks like you'll have to try harder than that, too." Aidan didn't have centuries of experience, at least not temportally... but his ability to almost physically live thousands of scenarios in every event meant that he had 'lived' a great many more situations and had more experience than anyone his age should... and he was not poorly trained, either.
With that, he launched into a sprint, moving onto the offensive. The best defense... He'd slash hard, but he had to keep his balance... screwing up against an opponent like this, with an adamantium-tipped weapon... not an option.

"I call it shock and awe." Tony quipped to Peter, then shook his head slightly, "There are two problems with your theory, Spider-Man - One, there aren't any hydrogen cells, it's the Nullifier, and not even Reed has the first idea how it works. Two, right now, instability is a BAD thing."
He dropped down, grabbed two Mutates and slammed them together, watching the fight around him through a number of drones he'd deployed - keeping track of ten video feeds at once was easy enough for him these days, even while fighting himself. Thank Extremis... he also had several screens up watching the growing field... though he did see a strong-man punch Hjordis, and then make the extra mistake of talking down to her for being a female... he considered giving the man a repulsor blast, but just smirked. Hjordis would have far too much fun on her own with that one.
Most were holding their own, but Vertigo was giving Mimic problems... of everyone else, Thena was still free - and he was her friend. To lead, one had to take advantage of these things... "Thena, stay with Mimic! Avengers! Defend Magneto and I, we're stopping this thing!"
He watched as Magneto flexed his considerable 'muscles' against the field, then he motioned for Carol to follow, and blasted off, shooting around the field until he was directly opposite Magneto, where he cleared the landing zone of Mutates with a full-form repulsor blast, sending creatures flying in all directions. He landed hard, locked his boots into the ground, and lifted both arms, the apertures of all repulsor lenses opening fully, flooding the area in a golden glow. "READY WHEN YOU ARE!" he shouted to Magneto, then he lifted one hand to Carol.
"I'm going to need your help with the overflow - and keeping the bastards at a distance." he called, grinning slightly despite the seriousness of the situation... with all the power flooding from this, Carol should have more than enough power to supercharge herself - and anyone who'd seen Ms. Marvel with a massive reserve of energy to draw on knew just how effective she could be.
That done, he diverted his full attention to the task at hand - and for once, he needed it... he would have to redesign half the suit's induction grid and the unibeam lens especially, as well as establishing about a thousand grounding circuits to his repulsor generator, and the beta-particle absorber... the only external sign of this was a slight shifting of armor plates, exposing several hidden repulsor lenses, each glowing a fierce blue or gold. He'd only recently built this armor. It was time to put it to the ultimate test...

As Lorelei started working her magic on Spider-Man, unfortunately for her, one of his female teammates wasn't far behind. There was a low, almost subsonic sound, and a pink, transluscent form much like earmuffs settled over the web-slinger's head, blocking his ears as Songbird landed between him and the woman, her wings flaring out before they faded. "Sorry, sugar - but the only singer around here is going to be me!" She let out another screech, which was only partly audible, and held her hand out, forming a massive, holographic fist that shot out for the woman, crushing the tree she was near and most likely sending her flying hard, as well - her powers only worked on men, and Songbird's abilities with sound could cancel out her own fairly handily. She glanced back to Peter then, grinning slightly. "I wouldn't get too attached to that one, Webs - I don't think there's a long-term future with her."

Ms. Marvel swiftly acknowledged Stark’s order and swooped into the fray, swatting away some of the second generation mutates like flies before they could attack either Iron Man or Magneto no matter how much she would have preferred to see the X-Men’s current leader taken down.
“How do you want this to go down Tony?” She called out as she watched his suit open up to reveal many glowing crystal like parts much akin to those on his palms. “I can take just about anything you two can dish out but how do you propose to siphon the bleed off into me?” She queried as she spun in mid air and back spin kicked an attacking dinosaur in the jaw. Gripping its rider by the throat she gave him tree smart super human smacks, knocking him out, and tossed him down into the trees below.
Again she swept in, gripping another mutate by the throat and tossing him a mile away with a simple toss. “And have you noticed we have yet to encounter Mystique, Brain Child or the bulk of the Brotherhood yet? Is no one concerned about that?” She looked around her with a mistrusting expression yet stayed close to Stark and Magneto for the time being.
