Height: 5'9''
Weight: 172 lbs.
Hair: Black

Build: Muscular/Athletic
Markings: None
Known Relatives:
Washington: Mrs. Washington (mother), Derek Washington (brother, deceased)
Symbiote: Venom (symbiote's "father"), Carnage (symbiote's "brother"), Toxin (symbiote's "nephew"), Scream (symbiote's "sister")
Powers:
His costume is actually composed of four symbiotes merged together, giving him the abilities of each individual component as well as new ones in their composite form. Due to the Riot, Lasher, and Phage symbiotes, Washington has the ability to create different weapons out of its own mass such as hammers, whip-like tendrils, and blades. With the Agony symbiote, Hybrid may be capable of using his metabolism to spit acid and burn through substances or absorb chemicals (such as Spider-Man's artificial webbing).
As Hybrid, Washington can generate tendrils capable of catching bullets in mid-air or grasping opponents. Unlike other Symbiotes, Hybrid is able to use its material to create wing-like appendages for flight. He can hurl pieces of the Symbiote material in the form of projectile weapons that actually have independent motion of their own for up to several hours before dissolving. Scott has even shown the ability to track remnants of his symbiote, using them like spider-tracers. The symbiote strands are even sentient, and intelligent enough to use binary code. The symbiote also gives him the ability to walk despite his parapalegia, negating the damage done in a similar manner to how the Venom Symbiote suppressed Eddie Brock's cancer.
As a result of physically bonding with the composite Symbiotes, Washington possesses various superhuman attributes similar to Peter Parker and Eddie Brock (Venom). As Hybrid, Scott has superhuman strength, speed, agility, stamina, durability, and reflexes. He currently possesses enough strength to sufficiently lift at least 10 tons. He can run and move at speeds beyond human limit and has reflexes that are superior to those of the finest human athlete. His agility is comparable to that of Spider-Man. He is capable of exerting himself at peak capacity for about 24 hours, withstand great impact forces, high altitude falls, powerful energy blasts and high caliber bullets.
Due to Spider-Man being a host to the symbiote, Hybrid is able to bypass Spider-Man's spider-sense (being that they both fight crime it is unlikely this power will be used.) And, as with Spider-Man and Venom, Washington's Symbiote allows him to stick to and scale across almost any surface in much the same way as a spider. He can cling to most surface material even if the material is covered with substances that would make them slick such as water or standard oil.
Abilities:
Scott Washington has been trained specifically to handle dangerous creatures and super-powered villains sent into The Vault, making him a more than competent combatant.
Weakness:
As with all symbiotes, Hybrid is highly vulnerable to intense heat and sound. If he is separated from the symbiote, Washington loses the use of his legs (though not really important cause he would also die from the separation process). Scott has a lot of anger, so it is often the symbiotes that hold him back from acts of violence, not the other way around. Since his symbiote was originally four different entities, Scott has to contend with four different voices/personalities in his head besides his own.
Paraphernalia and Equipment:
Formerly the Guardsman Armor which enhanced his strength and allowed him to fly using jet boots. Currently none.
Weapons:
Previously Scott's standard Guardsman uniform had wrist blasters built into it. As of now, his weapons are only what he can create from the symbiotic costume.
Uniform:
A costume created from alien material made of tough, flexible fibers of organic polymers which have the ability to mimic any type of clothing whatsoever, otherwise known as a symbiote.
Personality:
Prior to his paralysis and the loss of his brother, Scott was a kind-hearted individual that showed genuine concern over others and always tried to do the right thing. His motivation for joining the Guardsmen was for the benefit of his family, hoping to get them out of the ghettos to somewhere better. Not only did this show his love for his family but also his courage as the prisoners he would be guarding would be monsters and super villains. After his brief bond with the Hybrid symbiote and seeing their mind, Scott realized that they weren't evil and what they were doing to them was wrong. His kindness and sense of justice was strong enough that he chose to let the Hybrid symbiote escape when presented with an opportunity to recapture it. It is perhaps this act of kindness that drew the Hybrid symbiote to him. Scott has also shown to be responsible and caring, especially through his interactions with his little brother. He tries to teach him to be straight and stay in school; to not be dragged down by the gangs, drugs, and violence commonplace in their home. He also seems to be a hopeful person, preferring to see the bright side of things.
This kind and caring nature is turned against him when Easy X gang members broke into his home. Thinking only of the safety of his brother, Scott was easily gunned down. Unable to move, he was forced to watch as the men gunned down his brother before his eyes. The event was devastating to Scott who lost both his brother and the use of his legs. It wasn't a surprise that it changed him. A change that was noted by the Hybrid symbiote when it bonded with him. Scott had become a bitter and angry individual who wanted nothing but revenge, going as far as to kill members that he believed orchestrated the attack on him and his brother. He eventually resumed his normal personality when he realized that it was the neighborhood that was turning everyone into monsters. That because no one else cared or respected them enough to fix the neighborhood, they didn't care or respect each other. Resuming his caring, responsible personality, he works to clean up crime in his neighborhood.
The four symbiotes also have four distinct personalities but overall became peaceful when merged together. Riot was bold and aggressive, Lasher was calm and reasonable, Agony was empathic and vain, and Phage was cold and calculating.
History:
Scott Washington grew up in a dangerous ghetto known as Bedford-Stuyvesant in Brooklyn, New York. Along with his younger brother Derek, Scott live with his mother who worked double shifts to provide for the family. His dream was to get him and his family out of the neighborhood, moving to someplace where they didn't have to live in fear. It was with this thought that made him decide to become a Guardsmen, one of 35 that would guard the Vault, a prison for superhuman criminals. He managed to get the part, becoming Guardsman Number 6. It was during his time in the Vault where he met Vance Astrovik, also known as Justice. Though serving time due to the accidental killing of his father with his powers, he was a good person. The Guardsmen (including Scott) trusted Justice enough to regularly train against him throughout his incarceration. Out of all the guardsmen, Scott became closest to him. When a resulting battle between the New Warriors and the Guardsmen occurred in an attempt to free Vance, he sent them away due to his respect for the law.
Scott and four other Guardsmen were later transferred to guard Facility #12, where scientists were studying four alien symbiotes for the next couple of months. He and his fellow guards were to live underground and oversee the scientist's experiment on the symbiotes created by the Life Foundation. Promised with a raise, Washington saw it as an opportunity to further his plans of getting his mother and brother out of the ghetto.
During that time, the Symbiote Invasion took place in New York. Safe underground, the scientists were pressured to quickly find a solution to the problem. The invasion ended when the Venom symbiote unleashed a sonic shriek of despair, which caused most symbiotes in the city to commit mass suicide. Instead of dying, the Life Foundation symbiotes broke their restraints and huddled together, merging into a Hybrid.
The composite symbiote broke out and momentarily latched onto Scott, sharing minds for a few brief moments. His fellow Guardsmen scared it off with sonic blasts but the brief bond had changed Scott's mind about symbiotes. That the symbiotes didn’t deserve all of their torture. Concerned over his thinking, his teammates ordered him to get checked out while they went after the alien. On the way to the medlab, he saw the merged symbiote above him and allowed it to escape. This single action got him into deep trouble with his superiors. A camera within his helmet recorded his actions and coupled with the fact that Scott didn’t even tell anyone he saw the creature cost him his job. In the shadows, feeling Scott's desperation, the Hybrid symbiote felt that it needed him, the "kind one", just as much as he needed them.
Months later, as a result of being on the government's blacklist, Scott is scraping by working as a low-paid security guard to a local warehouse. He had been drawing up the blueprints for his old Guardsman armor in hopes of maybe being able to exploit it in some legal way for money. He made sure that his brother Derek didn't stray into running with gangs, but this ultimately led to Derek standing up to a high-ranking gang member at a basketball court. Scott protected his brother by nearly breaking the guy’s (Scar) arm, scaring him and his group off, but not before he vowed that he’d get his revenge.
One night, Scar broke into the Washington's apartment with his friends and shot both Scott and Derek, using a stereo to cover the gunfire. Derek was killed and Scott was left paralyzed from the waist down. Justice visited him weeks later, but Scott was a changed man. He became filled with frustration and anger over what happened to him, wanting revenge. Traumatized by the event, Scott was terrified that the gang had returned to kill him when he heard a kid turn his car stereo up. Frustrated over his cowardice and weakness, Scott didn't notice until the last second as the composite symbiote entered his home searching for Scott. At first Scott tried to fight the bonding, but then realized that he could use them for his own ends. The symbiotes noticed that he'd become different; not due of his legs no longer functioning, but rather the Scott wasn’t the same kind soul they remembered. Now as their host, Scott wanted revenge which did note bode well with the symbiotes.
Hybrid took to the streets and terrorized the gang activity in Brooklyn. He tracked down one man whom he recalled as an accomplice of the gang that crippled him. The symbiotes left him when he tried to kill the man, insisting that they would not take a life. Unable to walk, Scott was completely vulnerable, prompting the gang member to draw his gun and fire. The symbiote saved him, rejoining with Scott just before the bullets hit. Scott attempted once more to convince the symbiotes that killing was the right thing to do, but he was stopped by an old friend.
Justice, who had deduced Scott's secret identity as Hybrid, was out to prevent him from becoming a cold-blooded murderer. Hybrid explained his actions: The gang he was chasing stole his guardsman armor blueprints and he needed to stop them before they could do anything dangerous with the information. To find their hideout, he revealed one of the symbiote's unique abilities. Injecting people with a piece of the symbiote's material, Hybrid could then track it like a Spider-Tracer, and he used that ability on the same man he nearly killed.
Hybrid and Justice sneaked into the gang headquarters. Just as Hybrid seemed to have control over himself, he saw the man that crippled him and snapped. Forgetting the other members, he focused his attention on hunting the man down, leaving Justice to face the other members and the weapon they made out of Scott's blueprints. As Justice contended with the armored criminals, Hybrid continued to chase after his brother’s murderer. He found a gang member hiding his face with a mask, so he slammed him into a wall and tore the mask off, mistaking him for the murderer. The mystery thug was Dwight: Derek’s best friend.
He explained that out of fear from Derek and Scott's assault, he had join the Easy X Gang so he wouldn't be targeted. Scott admonishes Dwight about their neighborhood's crime problems, simultaneously using his symbiote tendrils to disarm his enemies. His point was that the true root of their community’s problems was the lack of respect they all had for their fellow man. Hybrid vocally denounced his thirst for revenge, seeing it was counter-productive. The gang members ignored the message and shot at him before running off. Telling Justice not to go after them, Hybrid fell to his knees, hopeless about the entire situation. He told Justice that this is an enemy they just can’t fight. Dwight, having removed his gang apparel and offering his gun, felt differently. Scott’s ability to change his mind and let go of his anger in the name of hope had inspired him to do the same. Justice felt that if Hybrid could do that for one person, he could probably duplicate the result in others.
Hybrid and Dwight looked over Derek’s grave, and Scott reminisces that he always promised Derek that he’d get him out of their awful neighborhood, but now, Derek was never going to leave. He and Dwight discussed making their neighborhood a better place. Turning into Hybrid, Scott stated that they had a lot of work to do.
Crime went down roughly 50% since Scott began his vigilante career. He began to get a lot of attention from the press, which in turn attracted the attention of the armored vigilantes the Jury - most of them former Guardsmen with grudges against Venom and symbiotes in general. The Jury set a trap and took down Hybrid with their sonic weapons. Hybrid sent some of his symbiote material out the window during his fight, which found Dwight and warned him of his trouble. Dwight immediately contacted the New Warriors, and Justice eventually arrived with Powerhouse and Turbo. The symbiote material latched onto Turbo and fed her the coordinates of Scott's location. Back at the Jury headquarters, Olivia Lentz planned to try the symbiotes and their host separately, using sonics to break Hybrid apart which was more likely going to them. Maxwell Taylor barged in and demanded she stop the separation, saying that she was not allowed. Hybrid's mask peeled back and the Jury saw Scott’s face, a couple of them recognizing him. Olivia reluctantly stopped the sonics, but kept him imprisoned.
After researching Hybrid's background, the Jury's leaders were now convinced they had misjudged him. As Sentry attempted to free Hybrid, the vengeful symbiotes grabbed him prompting the others to attack. The New Warriors' arrival to rescue Scott further escalated the battle. Maxwell intervened and managed to calm everyone down so they could deal with Scott's situation. Focusing on the good memories shared with Sentry, Scott convinced the symbiotes to set him free. Justice aided him in convincing the Jury that he was no longer a threat. Afterward Justice offered Hybrid a position on the team. Scott declined, wanting to fix his neighborhood before taking on the world. Justice left, leaving him with the option in the future.

Bedford-Stuyvesant was a cesspit that could be described in many words. All of them bad. Guns, drugs, poverty, desperation to name a few. It was hell on Earth for all unfortunate enough to live there. Everyday was a struggle for survival. Boys learned to defend themselves before even going to school. Once there, most will have been drafted into gangs or drug-dealers, sometimes even both. After they usually had two choices: Die at the hands of other gangs or get caught by cops. Many of these boys don't survive past the high school.
And this was exactly the reason Hybrid was there. To help clean up this mess and make the neighborhood a better place for everyone to live. If he had to make the lives of a few punks' lives a little more miserable at the city's expense, then he would gladly pay it. He owed it to his mother, he owed it to Dwight...Most especially, he owed it to his brother...They deserved to live in a place where a person didn't have to be afraid of opening a window without being shot.
And lately, he was happy to know that he was getting somewhere. The crime rate in the area had dropped significantly since he and Dwight had started working together. Dwight gathered information on any suspicious activities around the 'hood and he would take them down by the next morning. It was amazing what people could accomplish by working together. The place had even calmed enough that decent people had started moving into the area, if not for the area then suspicious minds who wanted to get a glimpse of the "Terror of Brooklyn". Thank the media for getting nothing right. It didn't matter. The place was beginning to change for the better.
But that was only if he continued to do his job. Scott watched the street below him, on his nightly patrol through the neighborhood. Despite the radical changes the place had undergone, there were still occasional pockets of trouble he had to stop, fragments of the gang-bangers that he had helped dissolve. Crouched above the roof of a tall apartment complex, he would be able to spot them before they could try anything. The night was quiet and the symbiotes that composed his terracotta-colored costume were eager to return to his home.
We should just head back. Forget them. They're not showing up. We should conserve what time we have left of this night and leave.
Sorry to say it but I agree. We need to rest.
Why are we just hiding up here in the shadows like cowards? Just track a few snitches down and scare the information outta 'em!
Be patient, I'm sure that our other knows what he's doing. We haven't been out for that long.
Scott wished that he could tune out the conversation his composite symbiotes were having in his head. But, they were a part of the package and now a part of him. He had learned to live with it, but it didn't mean he always liked it. They were right though, it was fast approaching 2 A.M. "We'll be done in another hour alright? I know these type of people. It's been a whole week since anything has gone down. One of these gang-bangers is gonna snap and pull something. Tonight. I can feel it."
A moment passed between them before he received a response. Very well. We will wait.
Sighing, Scott wished that the person would do it soon. Then he saw it. A dark figure, rushing down the docks towards the warehouse. Maybe that was it. Spreading the tendrils on his back, he fused them into wing-like appendages and leapt off the side of the building, heading straight for the warehouse.
