Having been a general and over all warrior for many centuries he is a cold and calculating tactician and warrior who in battle will always try and exploit an enemies weakness to his advantage.
To his allies he his not much more warm then he his with his enemies, speaking rarely and very bluntly.
History: Born in Scotland in the year 1572 Macbeth was the son of a noble woman and the Mutant Apocalypse in the guise of an English lord who had raped the young woman and fled into the night wordless and faceless.
Macbeth grew up in his mother’s home, and though a child of a loveless and violent union, was loved greatly by his family. He was doted on by his grandfather who taught the boy the ways of being a nobleman especially the part about looking down on the lower class which would eventually manifest further in looking down upon humanity. He was also taught the arts of battle and how to lead men to war.
In his adulthood Macbeth had yet to manifest his mutation but became a general and some would say a warlord within the kingdom of Scotland. Tragedy would eventually befall him though and in time would become the basis for Shakespeare famous play, Macbeth.
The tragedy began amid a bloody civil war. When the battle was won with the defeat of the allied forces of Norway and Ireland, who were led by the rebel Macdonald, largely due to the skillful leadership of Macbeth and his lieutenant, Banquo the King, Macbeth’s kinsman, honors his Generals with high praise and awarded Macbeth with the title of the Thane of Cawdor.
In time Macbeth would meet three elderly women, unknown to him at the time, powerful psychic mutants and members of Clan Akkada who wished to manipulate the son of Apocalypse into his service and a place of power. As three witches they first hailed Macbeth as "Thane of Glamis", the second as "Thane of Cawdor", and the third proclaimed that he would "be King hereafter". Macbeth appeared to be stunned to silence, so Banquo challenged them. The Witches informed Banquo he would father a line of kings, though he himself would not be one. While the two men wondered at these pronouncements, the Witches vanished, and another Thane, Ross, a messenger from the King, arrived and informed Macbeth of his newly bestowed title—Thane of Cawdor. The first prophecy was thus fulfilled. Immediately, Macbeth began to harbor ambitions of becoming king.
Macbeth wrote to his wife about the Witches' prophecies. When the King decided to stay at the Macbeths' castle at Inverness, Lady Macbeth hatched a plan to murder him and secure the throne for her husband. Although Macbeth raised concerns about the regicide, Lady Macbeth eventually persuaded him, by challenging his manhood, to follow her plan.
On the night of the king's visit, Macbeth killed him without mercy yet left Macbeth so shaken that Lady Macbeth had to take charge. In accordance with her plan, she framed the kings sleeping servants for the murder by planting bloody daggers on them. Early the next morning, Lennox, a Scottish nobleman, and Macduff, the loyal Thane of Fife, arrived and Macbeth immediately led them to the king's chamber, where Macduff discovered his corpse. In a feigned fit of anger, Macbeth murdered the guards before they could protest their innocence. Macduff was immediately suspicious of Macbeth, but did reveal his suspicions publicly. Fearing for their lives, the king’s sons fled, one to England and one to Ireland. The rightful heirs' flight made them suspects and Macbeth assumed the throne as the new King of Scotland as a kinsman of the dead king.
Despite his success, Macbeth remained uneasy about the prophecy about Banquo. So Macbeth invited him to a royal banquet and discovered that Banquo and his young son, Fleance, would be riding out that night. He hired two men to kill them but a third murderer, a time traveled Mystique who was sent to ensure the future events which would lead to Macbeths evil change to Anarchy, appeared mysteriously in the park before the murder. While the assassins killed Banquo, Fleance escaped. At the banquet, Mystique in the guise of Banquo's ghost entered and sat near by yet out of site of the crowed. Only Macbeth could see the so called specter leaving the rest panicked at the sight of Macbeth raging at an unseen assailant, until a desperate Lady Macbeth ordered them to leave.
Macbeth, disturbed, ventured to the Witches once more. They conjured up three spirits with three further warnings and prophecies, which told him to "beware Macduff", but also that "none of woman born shall harm Macbeth" and he will "never vanquished be until Great Birnam Wood to high Dunsinane Hill shall come against him". Since Macduff was in exile in England, Macbeth assumed that he is safe; so he decided to put to death everyone in Macduff's castle, including Macduff's wife and their young children.
Lady Macbeth would soon become racked with guilt from the crimes she and her husband has committed. She would sleepwalk and tried to wash imaginary bloodstains from her hands, all the while speaking of the terrible things she knew.
In England, Malcolm and Macduff were informed by Ross about the massacre of Macduff Castle. Macbeth, now viewed as a tyrant, saw many of his thanes defecting around him and would then see Malcolm lead an army, along with Macduff and Englishmen, the Earl of Northumberland, against Dunsinane Castle. While encamped in Birnam Wood, the soldiers were ordered to cut down and carry tree limbs to camouflage their numbers, thus fulfilling the Witches' third prophecy. Meanwhile, upon his learning of Lady Macbeth's death by what he assumed to be suicide though in truth caused again by Mystique, began to feel his mutations manifest, his body becoming cold, his skin whitening and hair growing brighter. He took this as a sign of madness and punishment for his evil deeds. This only angered him more...
The battle for kingship and revenge culminated in the slaying of the young Siward and Macduff's confrontation with Macbeth. Macbeth boasted that he had no reason to fear Macduff, for he could not be killed by any man born of woman. Macduff declared that he was "from his mother's womb untimely ripp'd" (i.e., born by Caesarean section) and was therefore not "of woman born". Macbeth realized, too late, the Witches had misled him. Macduff seemingly then killed Macbeth by a cut to his throat though later it would be boasted falsely that Macbeth was beheaded.
Mystique took Macbeth and fled, using advanced technology given to her by Clan Akkada to heal the son of Apocalypse. For some time Macbeth would remain in a coma, his mutation slowly taking over fully and changing his appearance drastically. When he awoke he found himself protected by Mystique whom he was grateful to though suspected of being a witch who has cursed him. She would in time explain to him his origin, as the son of Apocalypse, that he was a mutant and in so a destined ruler of the world over all humans. Instilling in him her and his fathers twisted views of mutant kind. It was hard for him to accept but he followed the beautiful woman’s lead for another 25 years, learning from her and other mutants and in time joining with his fellow descendants of Apocalypse.
Eventually Mystique would leave him and return to her time yet Macbeth would not forget the lessons taught to him. He would continue through the centuries, sometimes under his father’s tutelage and others alone, warring against humanity and all those that apposed him.
In recent years, with the disappearance of his father, Macbeth, with the chosen name of Anarchy, has chosen to join once again with Mystique and the Brotherhood of Mutants in hopes of lending his powers to the cause of mutant supremacy.
